About SWE


The National Society of Women Engineers is a non-profit organization whose mission is to:
  • Stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders
  • Expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life
  • And demonstrate the value of diversity

The UST SWE Student Section was chartered as section number H 091 into Section H on October 29, 2001, in St. Paul, Minnesota, with 10 enthusiastic members.Along with promoting the goals of the National Society of Women Engineers, the UST SWE Student Section strives to:

  • Build relationships among fellow engineering students
  • Encourage leadership, teamwork, and professional skills
  • Participate in outreach and community service projects
  • And assist with course scheduling, networking, and career planning

Awards

University of St. Thomas SWE has consistently been striving for excellence and achieving it! Our awards include:
  • 2002 Outstanding New Student Section
  • 2003 Outstanding Small Student Section
